The heavy-duty catering box is specified where the container has to survive the job rather than be treated carefully during it. The 90 litre body is rotationally moulded in food-grade LLDPE as a single seamless double wall, filled with 30 mm of high-density polyurethane foam and fitted with wide nylon snap latches, a replaceable silicone gasket, a 270 degree fold-flat door and four 100 mm casters. There is no metal frame to bend, no rivet line to loosen and no liner that can peel away from the shell after a season of loading bay abuse.
What makes it heavy-duty in practice is not one specification but the combination: impact-tolerant corners that flex and recover instead of cracking, a rigid double wall that resists bulging when fully loaded, caster mounts moulded into the shell rather than screwed into a thin panel, and latches sized for gloved hands working in a hurry. That combination is what keeps a catering box in service for eight to ten years in a high-turnover operation, where lighter imported boxes typically fail at the hinge, the caster plate or the gasket channel within two or three seasons. The insulated cavity holds hot pans above 60 C and chilled product below 5 C for up to six hours, which covers a full event day without a power supply.

Heavy-duty boxes are standard equipment for large-scale contract catering, stadium and arena concessions, festival and event infrastructure, industrial canteens, army and field kitchen provisioning, ship and offshore galleys, mining and remote-site catering, and food factories moving product between processing rooms. They are also chosen for rental fleets and equipment-hire businesses, where the same box passes through many hands and must tolerate handling that no single operator would accept. Where a buyer replaces boxes every two years, the total cost comparison usually favours this specification, because the shell and hardware outlast three generations of light-duty alternatives.
Packaging & Quality AssurancePacking is one piece per PE bag with edge protection inside a five-layer carton of 645 x 465 x 645 mm at 17 kg gross, approximately 110 pieces per 20GP and 270 pieces per 40HQ, and mixed containers can be arranged with heated carriers, soup carriers and cooler boxes. The box is produced end to end by SHANGHAI TOPGREEN INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD, which controls mould design, resin selection, foam density, hardware assembly and export packing in its own plant. Inspection covers wall thickness at four points, foam density sampling, a two thousand cycle latch test, a loaded roll test on a ramp, a logged cooling curve and a packed carton drop test. A twelve month warranty applies to shell, door hardware and casters, and full spare part kits are available. Reinforced specifications, thicker walls, additional chutes, heavy-duty casters and custom colours can be engineered on request, and sample units can be dispatched for field trials before a bulk order is confirmed.
